Vibgyor Prints LLC has been running offset and digital print operations for years out of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Like every print shop, we spent half the day on customer calls: "How much for 5,000 A4 flyers on 130gsm art paper, both sides, four-color, with matte lam?"
We built spreadsheets. Then macros on top of spreadsheets. Then a custom Access database. Each version was a bit faster, but quotes still took 10–20 minutes, and three different staff would somehow produce three different prices for the same job. Customers noticed. We had to fix it.
So we built our own quote engine — the one we wished existed. Plate selection automatic from final size. Mode B paper cutting for custom sizes that don't tile a plate. Work & Turn detection. Per-product allowed lists. The whole stack.
It worked for us. Then a friend running a print shop in Singapore asked if he could use it. Then one in Dubai. We realised every print shop on earth deals with the same problem — and almost none of them have a tool that actually understands offset printing math.
